Flooring system for Elppe Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.

Elppe Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is a company that manufactures specialty tailor-made products for bulk drugs and pharmacy industry with a turnover of approximately 50 CR. 90% of their total product portfolio gets exported to the European market and they have earned a name and created a brand for themselves in the export market. They were in search for a specialty flooringsolution for their upcoming plant at Roha as well as another nearby plant. Discharged products in total processeswere mainly concentrated sulfuric acid and benzene compounds. 

They were in search of a uniform, joint-less proper flooring systeminstead of acid resistant tiles.Using tiles is a common practicein specialty chemicalmanufacturing companies, they wanted to go for specialty acid resistant flooring systems. They approached many companies for this task but nobody was showing technical competency as per the demand of the situation. They approached DCP and we have taken that challenge.

The DCP team came up a flooring system comprised of three products to use. DCP recommended priming the surface with solvent-free epoxy Strongcoat Primer, followed by 2 mm epoxy underlay with Strongcoat EUS00, top coated with specialized acid resistant coatingStrongcoat CR402 in different colors as per their requirement. The total system thickness is approximately 2.5 mm (80 microns primer, 2 mm underlay and 350 - 400 microns acid resistant top coat)
