Mid City Bandra Kurla Complex Project

One of the projects at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai which houses many commercial buildings was suffering serious leakages. Normal conventional waterproofing system and other options didn’t prove efficient for this high pressure leaking water. Two component polyurethane (PUR) resin injection was suggested for such a severe case using DCP Packers.

Due to the wet conditions and to avoid high costs most water leakages were controlled with cement grouting. However in cases of very high water pressure, the PUR water stopping foam Quickmast 110 was used immediately before the PUR resin injection.

After containing the water temporarily in the structural cracks of the complex’s basement, starting in the highest resistance areas of the crack, the two component polyurethane resin system Quickmast 120 was injected under high pressures for the most ideal solution for permanent sealing of active leakages.

DCP Packers were arranged in a calculated fashion and drilled at 45 degree angles in a zigzag fashion along the crack where the injection occurs. 

A high pressure foot pump was used to inject the low viscous PUR resin, Quickmast 120, which creates a flexible film that permanently blocks all active leakages.
